Credits & Pricing
How the Credit System Works
MiniValuator uses a simple credit-based system to manage access to stock valuations. Each time you run a valuation — entering a ticker, retrieving financial data, and generating your DCF output and sensitivity heatmap — 1 credit is consumed.
Credits are purchased in packages and applied to your account. You can run as many valuations as you have credits available, on any supported stock, at any time.
Free Tier
Every new MiniValuator account starts with a set of free credits so you can explore the tool before committing to a paid plan. Free credits are added automatically when you create your account — no credit card required.
Use your free credits to run a few valuations, explore the sensitivity heatmap, and get a feel for how the tool works. Free credits do not expire, and no subscription is needed to use them.
Paid Credit Packages
Once your free credits are used, you can purchase additional credits in packages. MiniValuator offers three tiers to suit different usage levels:
| Tier | Credits Included | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Starter credits on signup | First-time users and casual exploration |
| Basic | Small credit bundle | Individual investors running occasional valuations |
| Pro | Large credit bundle | Active investors and frequent users |
Pricing for each package is displayed on the Pricing page within the app. Credits do not expire after purchase and carry over indefinitely.
Why MiniValuator Uses Credits
Running a valuation is not free on the back end. MiniValuator fetches real-time and historical financial data — including revenue, earnings, free cash flow, debt, and share counts — from financial data APIs and SEC filings. These API calls have a cost per request.
The credit system lets MiniValuator remain accessible at a low price point while covering the actual cost of data retrieval. It also means you only pay for what you use, rather than committing to a monthly subscription regardless of activity.
How to Check Your Remaining Credits
Your current credit balance is displayed in the top navigation bar when you are logged in. You can also view your full usage history and purchase additional credits from your Account page, accessible from the user menu.
Purchasing Credits
To purchase a credit package:
- Log in to your MiniValuator account.
- Navigate to the Account or Pricing page.
- Select the credit package that fits your needs.
- Complete checkout securely. Credits are added to your account immediately upon successful payment.
Refund Policy
All credit purchases are final and non-refundable. Because credits represent API data costs that are incurred at the time of purchase, refunds are not available once a transaction is completed. Unused credits remain on your account and never expire, so there is no risk of losing credits you have not yet used.
If you experience a technical issue that incorrectly consumed a credit without producing a valuation result, contact support and the team will review your case.
