Evaluations & Pricing
How Evaluations Work
MiniValuator is priced by the evaluation. One evaluation is a full stock valuation: you enter a ticker, the tool retrieves the financial data, and it generates your DCF output and sensitivity heatmap.
You can run an evaluation on any supported stock, at any time, for as long as you have evaluations available on your account. No subscription is required to evaluate.
Free Evaluations
Every new MiniValuator account starts with 3 free evaluations so you can try the tool before paying for anything. These are a one-time signup bonus, not a monthly allowance, and they are added automatically when you create your account. No card required.
Use your free evaluations to value a few stocks, explore the sensitivity heatmap, and get a feel for how the tool works. They never expire, and no subscription is needed to use them.
Second Read Membership
Once you want more than the occasional valuation, the Second Read membership is the main way to use MiniValuator. A former auditor keeps reading the stocks you save and tells you if your call still holds, so you are not re-checking them by hand.
| Plan | Price | Included |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $15 a month | 25 evaluations a month, plus Second Read on your saved stocks |
| Annual | $129 a year, about $10.75 a month | Same as monthly, billed yearly |
| Founding | $11 a month, locked for life | Same as monthly, an early-bird price that stays fixed while you keep the membership |
Membership renews automatically and can be cancelled anytime; you keep your free evaluations and saved stocks either way. No subscription is required to evaluate: the membership is an add-on for people who want ongoing coverage, not a gate.
Buying More Evaluations
Once your free evaluations are used, you can buy more as a one-time pack. There is no subscription.
| Pack | Price | Evaluations | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Evaluation pack | $5.99 | 5 evaluations | Anyone who wants a one-time top-up without a membership |
The pack is a one-time purchase. Evaluations do not expire and carry over indefinitely. Pricing is also shown on the Pricing page within the app.
Why Evaluations Are Paid
Running an evaluation is not free on the back end. MiniValuator fetches real-time and historical financial data such as revenue, earnings, free cash flow per share, and current valuation multiples from financial data APIs. These API calls have a cost per request.
Paying per evaluation lets MiniValuator stay accessible at a low price while covering the actual cost of data retrieval. The pack lets you pay only for what you use, while the Second Read membership adds ongoing coverage on top for people who want it.
How to Check Your Remaining Evaluations
Your current balance is shown in the top navigation bar when you are logged in. You can also view your full usage history and buy more evaluations from your Account page, accessible from the user menu.
Buying Evaluations
To buy an evaluation pack:
- Log in to your MiniValuator account.
- Navigate to the Account or Pricing page.
- Select the pack.
- Complete checkout securely. Your evaluations are added to your account immediately upon successful payment.
Refund Policy
The Second Read membership has a 30-day money-back guarantee from your first charge. For evaluation packs, if you haven't used any of the evaluations from a purchase, contact us within 7 days for a full refund. Once you've run a valuation with that purchase, it is non-refundable, because the evaluations represent API data costs that have already been incurred. Unused evaluations remain on your account and never expire, so there is no risk of losing what you have not yet used.
If you experience a technical issue that incorrectly consumed an evaluation without producing a valuation result, contact support and the team will review your case.
If you are new to MiniValuator and want to understand the valuation process before using your evaluations, see Getting Started.
